In 2019, Natasha Delany orchestrated her first professional fashion show, a moment that transformed her life and deepened her connection to her heritage. As Indigenous models graced the runway in stunning attire, to the rhythm of "Halluci-nation" (formerly A Tribe Called Red), Natasha was captivated. For the first time, she witnessed her culture celebrated in a way that was both beautiful and powerful—a breathtaking display that demanded to be seen and shared. In that moment, she felt an overwhelming pride in her Indigenous identity, igniting a passion that would drive her mission forward. Born into the Samson Cree Nation, Natasha's early life was marked by challenges, including growing up in foster care due to her mother being a missing and murdered Indigenous woman and the legacy of residential schools that affected her kokum (grandmother). This painful history meant many Indigenous families lost not only their children but also their cultural heritage and parenting wisdom.

For years, Natasha struggled with her identity, feeling ashamed of her roots. However, her healing journey in her 30's led her to embrace her role as a ceremonial woman and advocate for the sacred knowledge of her people. In 2022, while completing her Bachelor of Business Administration, Natasha founded Indigenous Project Events. This was her way of giving back to her community and creating spaces that honor Indigenous culture, paving the way for healing and connection. As the unearthing of children's remains from residential schools brought to light the stark realities of the past, it became clear that reconciliation is imperative—not just for governments and organizations, but for all of us. Many corporations aspire to engage with Indigenous communities, yet often feel uncertain about how to do so respectfully. Indigenous Project Events serves as a vital bridge between these worlds, ensuring that interactions are genuine, respectful, and impactful. While Canada boasts numerous event planning firms, very few are 100% Indigenous-owned and managed, with a specialization in Indigenous culture and the arts. Indigenous Project Events stands out by appealing to a contemporary, diverse audience. Our mission is to bridge the gap between Indigenous peoples and enterprises through immersive experiences that foster understanding and collaboration.

Our vision is clear: to shift perspectives and behaviors among both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, while contributing to the economic success of Indigenous communities. By partnering with us, you’re not only choosing a unique and enriching experience for your events, but also committing to a path of reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion within your corporate culture. Since our inception in September 2023, Indigenous Project Events has been dedicated to serving both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations. Join us on this journey to create meaningful connections, celebrate diversity, and uplift Indigenous voices through authentic experiences. Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future.
